These semi-wild pigs are raised in free-range, pastoral settings, feeding on acorns and other natural resources, which gives their meat a rich, complex flavor and unique texture. This diet and lifestyle contribute to the high quality of Jamón Ibérico, a prized, expensive cured ham.
